Bob- I'm in total agreement. And more of a liability issue for the tire dealers if they went lower than spec'd.

Tire Rack will sell them to you.

Costco has no idea what the factory speed ratings are. I've had Costco sell me tires of a lower speed rating to replace tires of that rating despite those tires not being the original rating.

In other words. Order H rated tires from TireRack, and when those wear our Costco will sell you H rates tires.

It's all corporate BS. The only reason V rated vs H rated is used as original is that's what they were able to source more inexpensively.

Curious to know if any ES owner has tried the other tire model sharing the same name but minus the all season & plus, i.e. PIRELLI CINTURATO P7. Is it as quiet and comfortable as the all-season version?

The “all-season” version is not available in some countries therefore I suppose the closest would be the PIRELLI CINTURATO P7. The Pirelli website itself ranked the all-season version lower (poorer) in the comfort category.

The reviews would tell you the non Plus tire is not as good a fire. The non Plus is also an all season tire.

In in reality the Plus is a replacement tire and the non Plus is an OEM tire, meeting OEM specifications (cost)

i would buy the plus.

I was referring to the non "all-season" version of P7.

Ah, there is also an All Season non Plus.

If if you don't need an all season tire, then yeah a summer tire will ride better and be quieter.
