Yeah, I know I just missed the last sanctioned "sale."

When is the next one? Is it December?

Thanks!

Maybe I'll wait. It's not too far off.

Try to see if anyone is holding onto older inventory. Usually they`ll be more inclined to make a sale on those. Usually door jamb pic, or V spec model code will let you know of such

Also bear in mind that a "typical" lot car is going to be the target for the best deal. On an ES that's not going to be a UL for instance, it would be like a mid optioned luxury model with nav.

There is a $3,000 rebate until 5/31/16 in Ohio right now on the ES. I did a TrueCar on a UL ES at around $49,600 and there was one dealer that will sell the car for $5,100 off MSRP. The $3,000 rebate is only on a purchase and not lease cash.

That would be one of the opportunities I've talked about...

Beat in mind that $5,100 includes the $3,000 rebate. So the discount into the dealers profit is only $2,100. You can probably do better than that.

I would negotiate it as a lease to get the rebate out of the way and then "decide to buy it" once you've gotten the price to where you want it to get the rebate. The dealer will try and use the rebate to make it look like its a better deal than it is.

I'm thinking about buying or leasing a new one. The one I was looking at had an MSRP if $43.5k I think.

Thanks.
Yesterday, I went to my local Lexus dealer where I leased my current 2013 ES300h. I have 4 months left on the lease but am about to need new tires and a service call. I also have a COSTCO membership. In New York, COSTCO's deal with my dealer is $1,500 BELOW invoice. Plus either because I am a returning Lexus customer or it is the deal of the month, I also got an additional $2,450 off the COSTCO price but must take delivery from dealer stock by May 31st. All in all,it was a 13.33% discount off of MSRP. If you need the specifics, let me know. All that info is downstairs, but I can amend this post if you want me to. The leasing price is $5 a month more than I am currently paying and the dealer will eat the 4th month of the lease. Lexus is forgiving the other 3 months. If you want to buy, Lexus is offering 0.9% financing for up to 60 months.

I am not sure if this is just for the NYC area or nationwide. I am picking up the new car, also an ES 300h, on Thursday.

I just noticed the $3000 Lexus Performance Cash incentive when I was looking at a vehicle in South Carolina. When I check TrueCar it is including the incentive in the rates listed in my state, but I don't see any dealer near me offering it. Does anyone know if this incentive is nationwide? If I can get at least 6000 off MSRP as I was offered last year I might be getting a new car this month.

Dealers seem pretty quiet on this... I called my local dealer salesman said he never heard of such an incentive... I asked him to double check with the finance director...he called back and confirmed 3k back on certain models... but with NO lexus branded financing.

Unless financing is at less then 1.9, just go with pen fed, same percentage

I've got 1.74% with my credit union so I'm okay on financing.

Hmm. I wonder if I should make an offer on the car I want now? I just don't want to walk in thinking the incentive is available and then find out it's not in my state. Would waste everyone's time.

Lexus is offering 0.9% for 60 months and 1.9% financing for 72 months. In my area, the incentive is $2,450 for an ES 300h, and you could still get financing.

The MSRP on my car was $48,454. I am buying for $ 42,005 (13.3095% off MSRP)

Talinder, I messed up your PM. Please send link again

In the NY area, the rebate is $2,450 and it was applicable to both leasing and purchase. Just picked up mew ES 300h in Caviar yesterday. I leased it and the $2,450 was applied as a capitalized cost reduction payment.
