I've been lurking in this forum for a while. Looking to trade in my Acura TL and was originally looking at the GS. However, the ES is really more the far more practical car for me because I will be hauling around teenagers and appreciate the spacious backseat and the higher MPG, so I gravitated to the ES.

I picked up a CPO 2015 UL model w/ML sound system yesterday. WOW this car is nice! I had a little bit of bias towards the car since I spent so much time on the GS forum and the ES tends to get the 'just an Avalon' label put on it. But this car is a beauty, I know I made the right decision.

I need to start researching this Enform business. I am curious to try it because it would be cool having the remote start but apparently CPO models don't get the 12 month trial subscription (although I am going to go back and ask my salesman about it...)

Congrats! I went from a 2003 Acura TL-S to a 2014 ES UL/ML/etc. and love it, also. I made the jump from "sporty" to "luxury". I really prefer FWD and any "sport sedan" in the higher price range are all rear wheel drive, including the GS. But I'm very pleased with the ES and enjoy the quiet and listing to music. I didn't re-up on the Enform; I bought new so I got a year of it. I don't like "subscription" anything. I'm not sure I'd care much for Remote Start, myself, but each to his own. Have fun and welcome to the ES club!

Congrats.

Both nice nice cars but I imagine you will appreciate the rear seat of the ES.

The remote start is nice but I'm not entirely sure it is worth it. It is a service that can be added on to the safety connect. So you have to buy both. I believe it is now 249.90 per year for both (http://www.lexus.com/enform). The pricing link is at the bottom of this URL.

I will let you decide if you think this is "just an Avalon"

I didn't fully realize how sporty the TL was until driving the ES - totally different feel. No regrets though, the UL is awesome!
