For what it's worth, he states there is no difference in residual percentage based on options or packages for the ES350. That's consistent with what I encountered in leasing both of our ESs. I believe what you are saying about the GS because I know you are a stickler for details - I don't have any shopping or leasing experience with that model. I'm somewhat baffled by the seemingly cavalier treatment jasone got from the dealer - seems like they went way out of their way NOT to lease him a vehicle - really strange.
I can't recall whether when I shopped for a 2013 ES in 2012 if there was a difference in residuals, remember I got very close to signing a deal for a 2013, it was all negotiated but it was right after the 13s came out. There was definitely a difference in 2010 though, so even on the ES they have in the past done that. I'm sure it depends on what they're trying to move and what they aren't.

Sadly his experience doesn't surprise me. I too have come in contact with dealers that have reacted to me in the same way. Some dealers I guess just want to work on the low hanging fruit...I can understand not wanting to do business with someone ranting and raving, but he sounded perfectly reasonable and respectful to me, as I know I am...

Somebody correct me if I'm wrong but you can get a barebones base ES with cloth seats still.

No you can't. The lowest grade of seats is the nuluxe(fake leather)
