I replaced the front and back bulbs. But took them out for these: http://a.co/8oG73sq

They're not just bulbs, but have the resistor (small-brick) included with them too. I didnt want to buy resistors by themselves and crimp the factory wires. So this "all-in-one" assembly was the next best thing. And they work perfectly. Only down side is that the socket is hard rubber and you have push it through (to the grommet) instead of twisting and locking. But they havent fallen out or anything.

FWIW I've been running leds for my front and rear turn signal for over a year without trouble in my 2013 ES300h. I did go through the wheel well for the fronts and it was a tight squeeze getting my hand in there, but I eventually got them all in there. I used a resistor on each bulb because (a) they're super cheap, (b) they are plug and play, and (c) they eliminate the bulb out and hyper flash issue. I used the "switchback" style bulb that you'll see if you check eBay, but I leave the DRL option disconnected (so I only use amber). They were the perfect form factor for our housing after experimenting with a couple different styles. These are the ones I used: http://www.ebay.com/itm/2X-5730-Dual...-/291337827565

I just can't stand incandescent turn signals on luxury cars, looks so cheap.

Yea I did exactly what you did. It was sooo tight. It took me at least 30 mins for the front each side. I did my rear ones in the summer. My cousin actually did those for me. But j was solo for the front. I only used amber I don't particularly care for switchbacks. And also my car doesn't have a parking light so worked perfect. Now my car is entire led since the 2016 pretty much comes with all interior leds. Looks great.
