I got a '14 ES with whatever package includes Nav, heated & cooled seats, and wood trimmed steering wheel. I'm confused about the headlights. I thought this package included HID bulbs... not necessarily adaptive lights but at least HID bulbs. My low beams are definitely halogen. Did I have it all wrong about the Nav package??

The HID headlights have always been an separate add-on option with a MSRP of somewhere around $500. With some equipment combinations, you are required to buy the HID headlights, but they are still listed as a separate option in the build.

One option is that you can order a kit and install it yourself.

Yea, this is funny. I got the '14 ES UL/ML with HID headlights...yes, it was $500. So I researched and if you added the HID lights later, it is like $1500 a piece, IIRC--regardless, it is super expensive to fix/replace later. So I asked the salesmen--partly tongue-in-cheek, partly serious, tho I know what he was going to say--I asked him if the HID lights at time of purchase are only $500, can I buy a second set for later when I have to replace them. He obviously said "no". Heh...

I would be willing to install a conversion kit if they actually work. If anyone has actually done it, what are the trouble areas?? The bulbs are 4300K, correct? And...if I install a kit for the low beams only, does it affect the wiring/connection of the high beams?

Does this kit look decent? Thanks!

It's a 55W kit. Not sure if that's necessary...or if I should do a 35W?

4300k is the Temp/color.

The bulb type is D4S (someone confirm that)

The hid kit is very simple to hook up. I would personally go with 6k...white with a hint of blue.

That would be a costly mistake around here. You would be given a ticket and have to prove to the courts that you changed it back to factory.

I dont know why u cant do it yourself unless this car is magically different than others.. I put them on my Honda Pilot.. I added HID for Low Beams, left Highs alone.. Added LED fogs....My 2016 has BI LEDs so Im leaving mine alone..Got mine from..http://www.xenondepot.com/..Im not saying this place has what this car needs, But all the Honda Pilot people got theirs here....well most of them did.. A few went with Morimoto .

Thanks for the helpful replies.

Now... I see lots of videos about adjusting the adaptive headlights, but what about the halogen housings? I read about possibly needing to lower them a bit once the HIDs are in.

I left them alone in my pilot..youi will just have to ck the cut off line.. you will also notice when oncoming drivers flash you

I posted photos of what you will see when looking at the back of the HID light housing. It you car looks like the photos, you have HID.

The Morimoto kits look very good (thx Thoiboi). I'll go with that. Hope they work!

Oh...the up/dwn adjustment for the halogen housing is easy. Sorry I didn't look before I asked.
