We just purchased a 2017 ES 300h here in Arkansas. We only have one Lexus Dealer in the state, so getting a good deal is a little hard, but we were very pleased. Sticker was 48,964 and we payed 41,292. We took the $3000 cash instead of financing through Lexus since we already had 1.9% at our credit union. Atomic Silver with black interior. We sold our 2011 RX 350 on Craigslist just in time to get in on the deals expiring tomorrow.

Now that 2018s are here, what kind of percent discount should I be looking for right now?

San Francisco bay area. Picked mine up on 8/30. Base version Atomic Silver with Grey Nuluxe, 2 miles on the odo.
No package and accessories added whatsoever.

MSRP $39,895
Dealer offer $34,690 + $3,000 Lexus Cash. Got 1.49% (5 years) pre-approved ahead of time at a local Credit Union. Doc fee $80.
Total out the door price is $35,155 (8.625% Sales Tax + DMV fees). I guess nobody wants the base vesion in the SF bay area, except me. : )

I was the first customer on a slow Wednesday and last day of the month. In and out the dealer in 45 minutes, told the salesperson just fill up the tank, wash the exterior, vacuum the interior, and no need to show me any features. The Salesman loved it.

BTW, the Finance guy offered me $2500 for a 50K miles prepaid maintenance, I declined. Then offered extended warranty, Ding/Dent repair package, lifetime detailing package, GAP....Declined every one of them.

Wow - really, really nice deal - you did extremely well.

Glad to hear you declined their massive $2500 ripoff. First 50k of maintenance on that vehicle will in no way approach that amount.

Congrats and enjoy your new ES!!

Thx. -bgaerttner

yeah the finance said 30k service is $1200. I don't believe it one bit. The car I had before the ES350 was an 08 Avalon Touring with 110k miles on it. So I knew that was BS. BTW sold the Avalon the following week for $8k, felt it was a fair deal for both party.

the only option I wish to have is the blind spot monitors with rear traffic alert, but then I had to buy the luxury package.....
Love those LED head fog lights. I thought those HID in the Avalon were bright enough, the ES's LED are brighter and more focused. love the atomic silver and couldn't be happier with the ES.

going to tint all windows and put in a Viper 5706V remote start/security in this week.

Very nice deal. I also went for the base model, but mine is 2015 CPO, although it has rear spoiler, trunk guard and few other little things. Seems like there are good deals on both used and new ones for the base model since not many want it. Enjoy your es. Atomic Silver looks great. I am driving to Palo Alto on Thursday. Might see your car on 101.

i also looked at some 2014/15 CPOs, but after looking at the 2016/17's new grill and 2017's standard safety features, LED headlights, I simply cannot refuse the offer.

I know Palo Alto area well. Been to Palo Alto's biggest employer campus too many times.
i also wanted the rear spoiler but the dealer wants $600 installed, naturally I declined. I probably will install it myself in the near future, parts are $300 max. Drilling 4 holes into the trunk takes nerves.

Those prices are outrageous.

I have all of the maintenance work on my Lexus vehicles done at the local Toyota dealer. Just for comparison, I calculated what all of the maintenance up to 50,000 miles for my ES will cost me at the Toyota dealer. After using the Lexus dealer for the complimentary 5000 and 10,000 mile service, the total cost for getting the subsequent maintenance work done at the Toyota dealer up to and including 50,000 mile service will be somewhere around $460. That $460 will cover all recommended maintenance, including full synthetic oil changes, tire rotations, flushing and replacing the brake fluid at 30,000 miles, engine and cabin air filter replacements, and recommended "inspections".

And that $460 total could actually be reduced if by changing the air filters myself, which is a simple task that only takes a few minutes and/or by doing tire rotations at 10,000 mile intervals, which should not result in any faster tire wear than would happen at the recommended 5000 mile intervals.

The service departments at Lexus dealers seem to operate on the premise either that, if Lexus buyers are willing to pay a premium to buy a Lexus, they must be willing, also, to pay exorbitant prices for service or that they believe that Lexus buyers have more money than brains. And trying to sell customers service contracts for further inflated prices comes across as an extension of that premise. They are more than willing to pad their profits by selling customers services that are not needed and by charging inflated prices for the services that are required.

Yep those price are highway robbery. I guess they gotta make money somewhere.
If someone is willing to buy these prepaid maint, extended warrranty...etc, it is their money.

My previous car was an 08 Toyota Avalon and I know exactly what needed, in terms of maintenance. Air/Cabin filters are easy.
After the 5/10K miles free services, I will be taking the ES to my trusted mechanic for oil changes/tire rotations, brake fluid flush..........

It is really a very nice campus. I am doing good research with them.
I guess the new grill has a love it, hate it reaction. I am in the hate it category. But as long as you like it, that is what matters most. I also wanted a Japanese made car after having experienced bad reliability of GM early in my teenage years. 2015 fit that nicely.
