Home Screen on startup

Home Screen on startup
Hey Everyone,
I'm a new (to me) 2015 ES 350 owner and I have a question about setup. when I start/drive the car the screen always defaults to the maps screen, I'd prefer it to go to the home screen. Is it possible to set it up to do that ? I had a quick look through the owners/nav manual and didn't see anything so I just wanted to confirm. Having to press home every time I start the car is an inconvenience.
Thanks

I know there was a setting at the dealer which made mine default to the last screen I was at when the car shut down. So 99% of the time when I start up, I'm on Sirius radio. I have a 13 though so not sure if same or if of much benefit.

I agree with Roninlexus. Our 2015 defaults to the screen we left it on, but I don't remember exactly what option caused that to occur. Wish I could be more specific but keep looking, I think you can achieve the behavior you want. Hopefully someone here that is more familiar with the menus (or a better memory anyway) can provide some guidance.

I had dismissed this because on page 67 of the navigation guide it says
"Select to set automatic screen changes from the audio/air conditioning control screen to the previous screen to on/off. When set to on, the screen will automatically return to the
previous screen from the audio/air conditioning control screen after 20 seconds."
I'll give it a go and let you know.

It looks like you might be right, I googled it and found this

If you're on say an audio screen in fullscreen when you shut down, it will resume on this screen at startup. If however you're on the home screen it will resume on maps when you startup.
Is there anywhere we can post feedback to Lexus about things like this, it's minor or course but it's also really annoying. Even the nav manual says that it will start on the home screen.

I did test it and this is exactly correct.

I looked over the lexus site to see if it was possible to give feedback, I didn't see anything obvious, but I feel like we should give that feedback to lexus, very soon they'll have a new infotainment system, which might mean we'll stop receiving updates to ours.

So basically, leave it on audio screen, shut off radio, turn off car.
When you turn back on car, it'll already be back in radio mode, and you can then turn on the radio.
Or do you guys just leave the radio 'on' always? Do you think it matters?

I always leave the radio on, I just turn the volume down.. however I do believe the radio automatically resets the volume to a comfortable level when you shut down, but out of habit from my other vehicles that have aftermarket systems I always turn it down.

I should probably just leave it on the 'radio' screen, and leave the radio on. I hardly use the GPS nav much anyway.
I have a superstitious idea that if you have the screen on the GPS constantly you could somehow wear it out.
Maybe not though.
