The best way to tell is to look for that switch in the suspension or, if you don’t want to get down and dirty, look for the little motors on the back of the headlight housings. Post #15 on topic https://www.clublexus.com/forums/es-...-question.html
And how do you know you do not have it? It is almost impossible to see them operate as they probably adjust very slowly. It took me 8 years of ownership to find out about this system - and only because my height sensor broke.
Here is the illustration from the USA 2013 ES user manual. Look in your instrument cluster for this light to illuminate during startup - I would bet your car should have it.
UPDATE: Just tested the system in my garage and could see it work without Techstream: 1. Start the car or better put it in the ignition mode (hit the start button twice without pressing on the brake pedal). 2. Step outside and put your weight on the trunk lid - this will slightly lower the rear end of the car. 3. Within 1-2 seconds you would see the headlights self-adjust and hear the headlight motors buzz (here it helps to be in the ignition mode so the engine is not running).
You can also check if you have the suspension height sensor behind the muffler.
I know because #1 there are no motors behind the headlight buckets. #2 the window sticker has no mention of auto adjust headlights. #3 When I start the car, the light beam with the up and down arrows don't appear. I think that's proof enough!

I guess you are right - this is not a universal option. I just did not see it on any option list - kinda strange that Lexus would install it and then not even try to advertise/showcase it. I just assumed it should be on all ESes because of that.
Well, seems like you are not missing much. As I said - I only found out about them because my sensor broke (the balljoint rusted and seized).

I guess it's just one less option to deal with when it breaks.
On my 2016 ES300H the Auto level system cycles up and down when I start the car (noticed it when parked in the dark garage). I didn't know what it was for until I read this thread.

Thanks for this. So I could have swore my 13 E/S U/L did this to. You could clearly see them moving around on start up every time. Also seems like I remember a button under the Driver side foot well to cut it off.
Just adding another item to this long-running thread.
A "wallet key" (aka credit card key) is actually available for the 6gen ES. Just order the part number 89904-30L50 (2016-2020 Lexus GSF wallet key, ~$230). It has been confirmed to work on at least two 6ESs. It is equivalent to a keyless entry fob but without the buttons - i.e. allows locking/unlocking a car by touching door handles and allows staring the engine.
