Default How to track service history.

Up until now, I've had my service done at a Lexus Dealer.

I can see my service history on Lexus Drivers.

Today, I'm currently getting 15K service at a Toyota dealer. I thought it would be cheaper there.

I signed up for Toyota Owners (uses the same login as Lexus Drivers).

https://auth3.toyota.com/owners/acco...cle-management

It won't let me add the Lexus VIN because it's not a Toyota VIN.

So now how can I see my current service history? Will it somehow show up on Lexus Drivers?

Or is it now "lost"?

I don't want to have to manually enter the service history on Lexus Drivers, although I see that I can.

After a 22 min call spanning between Toyota and Lexus, Lexus says they can't track history done at Toyota dealerships.

I guess when I'm back at the Toyota dealership, I'll try in person to see if they could find a way to track my service history in person.

Otherwise, when the call started with Toyota, they said they couldn't see Lexus history and had me transferred to Lexus.

After looking at it some more, I don't think the price difference for service is too different between Lexus and Toyota, as long as I pick the service items that I want done and not go with a package.

With packages, the minimum package is similar across both dealers, but the 2nd and 3rd tier packages can vary, so it makes it harder to compare.

I heard some dealer are able to enter info on Lexus Drivers, but if they don't, you can enter your own. Save receipts.

I find the Lexus dealer is very reasonable for things like oil change/oil filter change service. Other stuff might be cheaper to go to a indy shop that specializes in Lexus/Toyota.

So I'm trying to manually enter the history.

It doesn't seem to save all of the text I enter in the description.

Looking at past history comments, I see a lot of " ~|~ ~|~ " in between sentence, when the dealer entered comments. Must be some kind of separator.

How would I know if a shop specializes in those? How can I find such shops?

Now when I click edit, all of the details appear blank on the edit screen. I also think whenever I try to save abbreviations such as "LF, RF, LR, RR", it wont let me. I removed them from one of the comments and it finally saved the full comment.
