Talking Nav voice issue With radio on

I just purchased a 2017 ES350 in white with black interior. I loved the car on the test drive, but the more I drive it, the more I am loving this vehicle in terms of driving and ride and overall quality, fee and everything that goes along with Lexus ownership (including a big monthly payment!). I was driving a 2006 Honda Accord V6 with nav before.
Anyway, my 2006 accord did this and was hoping the ES could do the same: when using the guided nav and the radio is on, my accord would lower the volume to a very low level while the turn directions were being spoken. My ES doesn't do that and it was very hard to hear what was being said with the radio turned up. Does anyone else have this same issue and how did you solve it if you do?
not that I'm comparing a Honda to a Lexus of course!

I don't believe that the ES has an option to mute the radio when the navigation system is giving directions, but what you can do is to go into the navigation system settings and increase the volume for the navigation system.

I also found that, at the default navigation system volume, it was hard to hear the directions over the sound of the radio, but, after I increased the volume for the navigation system to its maximum setting, the navigation system volume was sufficiently loud to be easily heard over the sound from the radio.

Thanks for the information. IMO that's a horrible feature for an otherwise amazing vehicle.
If the volume is turned up on the Nav, does it get too loud with the radio off?
