Unhappy 2013 ES 350 Bumper - Plate Screw Holes

Hello - I just purchased a 40k CPO 2013 ES 350 Silver Lining color with the front bumper that matches the car. The Lexus dealer left the license plate frame attached to the car and I really didn't think twice about it. Well got home and want to have the front clean. The plate frame is screwed through the bumper.... Not good.. I want to remove the frame but don't really want screw holes through the plastic bumper in the front of the car. Looks really bad... Does anyone know if you can replace just the plastic bumper piece to resolve the problem. I don't think filling the holes in with something is an option... Love the car hate the bumper... This is our 4th Lexus. Any advice is appreciated. Thanks!!

There are companies that make color matched plugs. Here is one of them.

Thank you for the information!!! Looking at mine it has 4 holes not just two. Do all Lexus ES 350 bumpers come with the holes or knockouts already there?

Not holes, just 2 dimples for them to use as a template.

The previous owner a New York car assume front license plate state punched 4 holes with screws in the front bumper. Choice is put the plate frame back on and buy some type of plate or do the bumper plugs. The holes are consistent and geometrically in line... I wish I had made the dealer take the plate frame off. He would have fixed the problem before I drove it off the lot.

I would go with the bumper plugs or in an extreme case even a $200 bumper repair. You might even try going back to the selling dealer - kind of a long shot.

Default License plate holes

My 2014 ES also had holes where the license plate was mounted. I filled them with black plugs bought at AutoZone
and painted the center bumper flat black along with the upper grille. The plugs can hardly be seen and the grille
now looks like a later model.

i would go back to the dealer and ask them to fix it. tell them this is your 4th Lexus and you plan on purchasing more. also, if they do not make it right, let them know you'll be contacting the president of Lexus. good luck!
