Lesz, are you sure a car can be certified only once? I ask as last year the salesman tried to get me to trade as he said they could re-certifiy the car and sell it easily. At the time it had around 62K miles and he said that was under the mileage limit.
I did trade it in July and it had 72K and they sold it un-certified, easily. Pretty much as soon as they put it on the lot.

I suspect that the salesperson that you spoke with was being less than honest. If you were talking about trading the 2010 ES that is in your profile, that car would have been too old to become a CPO vehicle. CPO vehicles can only be up to 6 years old (and must have fewer than 70,000 miles on the odometer), which means that 2011 vehicles are the oldest that can be certified this year.

Ok, that makes sense. It was last year when he said that so it was under the 70K and was 6 years old. I just traded it in July (of '17) so 7 years old and over the 70K by 2K miles. Got it. Thanks.
I guess I need to go change my profile as I have a '17 ES now.

FastFord, I AM enjoying this car!! I went on a business trip last week and had to drive a rental Corolla. Man what a POS compared to our cars. Couldn't wait to get home. It did get killer gas mileage though...
