Default Wiper arm location

Hello all!
Just bought a 2015 ES-350. Love the car so far but noticed something kind of odd. When the wipers are turned off and they return to their original location, they stay up high on the windshield. Especially the passenger side. They don't retract below the hood line out of site. It's actually unsightly. I've looked at a bunch of these on line and about 20% I find look like this. I thought about taking the wiper arms off and repositioning them but then I realized I would not be able to lift them up if I wanted to change the wiper blades. Just wondering if anyone has run into this before. Thanks in advance for any feedback!

The wipers have a winter position (wipers rest higher) and a summer position (wipers rest lower).

The following is from the manual for the 2017 ES. In your manual, you should have a similar description, and there will also be diagrams/pictures that show how to change the position from winter to summer or from summer to winter.

"If heavy snow or icy condition is expected, shift the rest position manually.
Grip the hook section of the wiper arm firmly when shifting the wiper position.
■ To rest position
Raise the wiper in line with the windshield
until it locks.
You can stand the wipers up for the
rest position.
★: More than 3.9 in. (10 cm)
■ To retract position
Lower the wipers by pressing on the
upper part of the hook section.

Thanks Lesz! I would have never known it had this feature. I couldn't find anything in the owners manual and I even called Lexus. They had no idea what I was talking about!
All the best...

Thanks! I didn't realize any of those features either. You're right, reading everything in the owners manual feels like starting a novel. There's a lot to know I suppose.
