Disposition fees are NOT negotiable, as it is in the contract terms enforced by the mfg, less the dealer. But, It is negotiable when you turn it in based on 1) you purchase another new/used vehicle or 2) buy vehicle outright (as you prescribed).

Hmmm. Food for thought. Reinforces the fact that one should always carefully check the service record of a previously owned vehicle when considering to buy.

Lexus confirmed that the oil was never changed, or that they have no record of it being changed? Also, the first oil change is free, so how would skipping that be a money saving strategy?

Yes. http://www.lexus.com/maintenance
Also, when I just did my last oil change, how would Carfax know?

On a lease, the first oil change of a lease is free? I have not seen a lease offer that offers free oil changes in any number. Before I confirmed this, I also posed the question on this forum months back. No one responded that oil changes are included in any way in a lease. I have 2 years free service on my owned CPO. Not the same.
I confirmed that the oil was never changed. Outside oil changes like quick lube do routinely show up on car faxes. She also refused an oil change at one point at the dealer. It was written in the notes on lexus owners.com I also did a search using the terms lease holders skip oil changes to save money. I'm not the first to discover this by far. lolz. Lexus' higher ups also confirmed they do not require proof of OC's on lease term.

If someone has a tendency to skimp on maintenance, it most likely won't matter what brand the vehicle is. However, as others have pointed out, the 5k and 10k services on a new Lexus are complimentary and includes the first oil change. Doesn't matter whether it's a lease or straight up purchase.

Well maybe the old retired folks in Florida just don't want to take the time and energy to bring the car in for an oil change, even if it's free.
Some people like to cling to their old oil - gives them a sense of security and stability.
My third one was like $190, pretty steep.
