After reading on this forum that it was discovered that the dealer used bulk oil, and maybe it wasn't even Toyota branded oil, made me very happy that I have never had the oil in my car changed at the dealer. I do it myself and use either Valvoline Platinum or Mobil One. I do realize that DIY is not for everyone but I would do all possible to ensure that I wasn't getting oil from Moe's Oil Depot in Podunk Iowa... (nothing personal to those from Iowa)... Using premium full synthetic name brand high quality oil puts my mind at ease on a 10k OIC.
Correction: I had a free change by the dealer under new car warranty...

As I haven't had my first complimentary change yet (7 months ownership, 3200 miles) and am working with a different dealer, I am not sure what type of oil they use for their changes but considering the car is under warranty I don't have a problem using their oil whatever it is. I did receive a call from them last week wondering where I was on my mileage and when I told them where I was they said it was ok to wait until 5k or one year. I plan on doing that although I'll probably hit a year before I hit the mileage!

Just to be clear, the 5k service is not an oil change, its only a tire rotation.

The 5k is also when the dealer will do any "dealer only" type customization's for free. I had the lane change blinker extended at my 5k service. Not sure if they'll honor it at the 10k.

On the Generation 6 ES, the number of lane change blinks is a "dealer only" setting.

I changed mine from 3 to the next one up 5 or 6 and it's much better now. I saw it when I was reviewing all the menus with my Techstream. There were 3 choice default was the first one at 3.
