I’d stick to 5,000 mile interval myself, but I’m sure you’d be ok with 7,500 intervals...but I wouldn’t go over 5,000 miles on the direct injected version.

This guy is pretty good...he’s an ASE mater tech with over 20 years experience.

Yep that 2GRFE also has some very, very tight tolerances and clearances. That leads to lots of stuff in the Oil with that Engine even up to 30k - 50 still break in wearing. I don't like contaminates lubricating tight Metal clearances. I've said this before, no matter how good the Oil is its still subject to contamination regardless. While on the subject, another thing not to cheap out on type or interval wise on is the Air Filter. In actuality, your best Oil Filter is in fact your Air Filter. Or not, if its a waste of money to you and you think you rarely need to need to change it.

Just some more education about Fluids and Lexus recommendations - So here in the U.S. Lexus does not give info on Service of some things like ex. Fuel Filter, Trans fluid and other. All the while in other Countries like Australia and others for the same exact Lexus, and Motor and such. They do advise to Service what they say here not to here in the U.S. Go figure? You can decide how you want to float your Boat and for how long, or...... not.

FYI they made your ES Transmission Lexus uses. Not Lexus. Now this puts holes all in the blanket Lexus made the Car they should know theory. Metals and Seals don't like dirty contaminated Fluids.
