I realize this thread is from 2016 but this issue is still an ongoing problem with Lexus ES 350's as both my 2007 (306K miles) and 2016 Lexus (32K miles) ES350's are showing indentations around the sunroof. The 2007 ES350 shows these indentations on all 4 corners of the sunroof and my newer 2016 is showing it on the front left passenger side. I have read the thread and am pissed that Lexus is trying to pass this lack of roof structural integrity and flex problem off on a frikin' pothole. Gimme a break! I have 2 reliable sources (one is a PDA rep who works specifically with my local Lexus dealership and the other is a body man from the local Lexus dealership referred and the only Lexus certified/trained bodyshop in the area) that state they have seen many ES 350's over the last 11 years exhibiting this issue around the sunroof. Of course the real reason Lexus won't formally acknowledge this is an issue boils down to one thing - MONEY! Obviously Lexus doesn't seem to care that this type of issue tarnishes their brand and their claim to build world class, unparalleled quality automobiles. I have 3 Lexus vehicles in my driveway (my wife drives a 2015 IS, my 2007 & 2016 Lexus ES350) and both ES's have this problem so for Lexus to state the issue stems from potholes is an insult to not only Lexus ES350 customers intelligence but to the brands quality! What moron would honestly buy that bs??! Not this guy. We'll see what my local Lexus dealership does about it on Monday 4/16/2018 when I speak with the service dept manager. Keep everyone posted! So there are several threads under other Lexus model sub-forums (https://www.clublexus.com/forums/es-...-moonroof.html) but I wanted to post in the ES section as this issue is still an ongoing problem with Lexus ES 350's. You did or the dealership did? My PDA guy who works at the local Lexus dealership said he could repair the dents but that it’s a structural issue and could eventually come back over time. Said that the flex of the car causes it when going up steep drive ways or other inclines that cause the frame to flex excessively. What was down to repair yours?

No, that doesn't tell me how to fix the problem. That just shows me that he modified/replaced his OEM roof which I'm not interested in doing. So if that's his idea of a "fix" then we're not on the same page. Thanks.
I've owned 4 Lexus vehicles, including 2 6th Generation ESs and a 4th Generation ES, and several other Toyota vehicles. All had sunroofs, and I've never had dents of any kind around those sunroofs.
