Default ES 350 body molding

Has the body molding for the 2015 ES350 Starfire Pearl 077 been discontinued?

Default Color Differences

Is there much difference in Starfire Pearl (077) and Eminent White Pearl (085)? I have a 2015 ES 350 in Starfire pearl and want the body side moldings. Have found out that color is discontinued by Lexus. The new color is Eminent White Pear and was curious of they are close in color.

Probably a huge difference. Here they are in your color: https://www.lexuspartsnow.com/parts/...-48111-10.html

Just curious, does this body side molding look nice on the car?

That is entirely a matter of personal opinion. Some here believe that it dresses up the side of the car. Others believe that it destroys the otherwise clean view of the side of the car.

Only you can decide for yourself whether you think it "looks nice on the car".

I bought my 350 w/o molding. Then I saw on this forum a member who installed it on his. I ordered it, put it on myself and am glad I did. Not only does it break up the long wide doors but it also protects against the morons who ding your doors in parking lots. Not always, but some protection nonetheless. Same color as the car and has super strong adhesive. I believe that a youtube video is available online that shows installation. It's a matter of taste, some like it some don't. That's why they make chocolate and vanilla...

Can you post pictures before and after the molding?

I've been wondering about the molding too, and what exactly it was. Is it the horizontal indent across the middle, from the passenger side door, to the driver side door?

If you go onto the lexus.com site you can view a car w/o the molding. Then just refer to the photo (the white car) in this thread with the molding installed...

So I ordered it tonight. I will post pictures when I "install" the trim. By the way, I am new to this portion of the Lexus site...I was on the SC side. I sold my 02 SC430 recently, and I also sold my 16 Subaru Outback and bought a 2016 ES 350 with 16K miles. I love the car. It is caviar in color. I love the Lexus board. It was always fun, and very educational to read on the SC430 board...I learned and lot, and did a lot to my car from what I learned..

I'm glad you're enjoying your car, and the forums.

I find that whether or not people like the looks of side body mouldings is subjective... some hate em, some love em... I fall into the latter catagory.. My car's not white but I really like the look... I've seen them on white vehicle and I think they look very good. JMO

I installed the side trim by myself on my '14 ES right after purchasing the car because I like the look.
Installation instructions including layout dimensions usually come with the trim, but if not they can be provided by members here on CL.
