When will ES get Hold button like LS, RX, GS

Just an edit, the GS does in fact have a brake hold button which was added in the mid cycle refresh in 2016. My 2013 pre refresh 4GS did not have a brake hold feature.

If you have the ES300h, you can leave the shifter in D and then stomp on that idiotic parking brake to get something like the Hold feature. The transmission in the hybrid doesn't creep with the parking brake on, unlike the conventional models.
To move off, just give a kick to the parking brake and the car will creep forward. I'm surprised why Japanese cars don't have electronic parking brakes, unlike most German cars.
Edit: doesn't work! I hooked up an OBD reader and found that MG2 outputs 50 Nm torque in D with the parking brake on, so the hybrid creeps like a conventional automatic. That's just dumb design on Toyota's part.

Pics of the 2019 are out, and it does indeed have your hold button
As well as an electronic parking brake.

THe Hold feature is actually a part of the electronic brake actuator (ECB) aka brake-by-wire, rather than the parking brake.
Cars with the complex digital brake actuator can include the feature.
Hybrids were first followed by the GS430 (no hold button tho) then LS.
ES turn!

If Lexus is in fact using brake-by-wire, are we using this term to identify a feature such as the SBC brake-by-wire system used in the Mercedes E-Class from 2003-2006 and the SL from the same period? They ditched this system in the facelift 07+ E-Class.
I've noticed that depending on driving style/driving mode, the pedal requires more or less pressure and travels more/less. Ex: In Sport+ the pedal firms up and has quick response/bite & requires less travel whereas in Eco mode, the pedal is super soft and has much more travel. I've wondered how this was achieved and if it was a product of brake-by-wire.
