I have a 2015 ES350 with under 12K miles on it. When the car is "cold" such as first thing after sitting overnight, and I start out I quickly come to a couple of stop signs after driving about a tenth of a mile. When pulling up to these stop signs the tranny downshifts into first gear and I find that if I don't come to a 100% dead stop but rather start to accelerate after coming "almost" to a complete stop but not quite...the tranny will slip a little bit. This goes away every time after I've driven about a half a mile and the car seems to have "warmed up" a bit and never comes back until the car is "ice cold" again. Any thoughts? Thanks in advance.

Quite common, I have found when cars sit on our dealership lot without having been started for
awhile that they act just as you describe. Seems to be attributed to the Auto Trans Torque
Converter draining down and the trans pump needs to fill it up to allow power to transfer.
Happened at my Chevrolet store also.

Different symptom is a second gear shift delay that is actually designed into the
shifting software to keep the RPM's up. This is to speed the warm up of the catalytic
converter to help with emissions.
