There are no electronic aids that alert you to low-placed barriers, such as kerbs.
I got around this by making the effort to learn, for each new car that I had over the years, where the edges of the car were. I installed the circular convex mirrors on my side mirrors, allowing me to see the side of the car (including door handles), the road immediately beside me (and street or parking lot markings), and my blind spots. I learned to judge my position using the convex mirrors and where significant items on the car (such as door handles) were in relation to road markings.
