I suppose that a mat looks a little more elegant but I doubt very much that anyone is going to notice if it’s carpet or rubber under my brake pedal. Is there any reason that I’m not considering why liners don’t make more sense? My car comes with mats but I’m sure that I can upgrade.
The liners that Lexus is currently offering were designed relatively recently, and I think that Lexus did a very nice job in doing so. They fit very well. They look good, and they do offer a fair amount of added protection over the all-weather mats. The liners would be my choice.
I purchased my new 2018 ES 350 last week it came with all weather mats but dealer was willing to include Lexus liners for 80.00 more. I am glad I got the liners I think I will be especially happy with them this winter.

i have the regular carpeted floor mats stored away for the next owner.
The liners are a bit heavier and extend the protection up the sides and under the pedals a little further than with the mats. I've had both the mats and the liners, and I prefer the liners. The don't look any worse than the mats, and they do offer more protection.

I had never seen the newer floor liners but went online today to look. I have the all-weather black Lexus logo mats in my car but would much rather have the newly designed liners. They appear to offer much better protection to the carpeting similar to the Weathertech enclosed design. I'll get them in my next Lexus... My beautiful Parchment carpet mats are in the trunk waiting for the next owner of the car...

And the price of the liners is only a few dollars more than the price of the all-weather mats. Mine came from the factory with the liners, but had they not been on the car with them from the factory, I'm sure that I could have gotten the dealer to throw them in to close the deal.
I got the dark brown tub style liner. As someone may have mentioned, it is a relatively new design. It was $90 shipped from Ebay. My recommendation is to get this ASAP. The carpet is slippery, and is much more difficult to clean. The "tub" style really envelops (slopes up the sidewall) the foot area and prevents dirt from getting under the mat.
I agree. The new liners are much better at covering the footwells than the old all-weather mats. They are actually about half way between the WeatherTech and the old mats. I tried the WeatherTechs and they were just too tall on the side - which made them more industrial looking. These new ones seem just right to me, and don’t spill dirt and debris around the edges like the all-weather mats in our NX.
The Lexus website says the newer tub-style liners are for 2016-2018 only. Did the 2016 facelift change the floor well dimensions such that these won't fit a 2015 ES300h? The "TuxMat" custom-fit liners claim to fit 2013 to 2018.

I owned a 2013 ES, and I now own a 2017 ES, and I'm virtually certain that the floor well dimensions are identical for all of the years of the 6th Generation ES.
In my 2013 ES, I had the all-weather mats. In the 2017, I have the Lexus liners. When I traded in the 2013, I kept the mats, and I just went out to the garage to see how the mats from the 2013 fit into the 2017 ES; They fit perfectly. Not only do the mats cover the same area , but the holes for the clips that keep the mats/liners in place line up perfectly, too. So, if the mats fit identically in either the 2013 or the 2017, I would assume that the liners would fit identically, too.
