Default My backup camera is suddenly very blurry.

It was as clear as could be until I noticed it was terribly blurry when I was backing up while it was raining a couple days ago. I checked the unit at the back of the car and there is no noticeable damage nor does it appear to be dirty or covered in grime. I'm just wondering if anyone has experienced this sort of thing and what they found to be the issue. It's basically unusable at this point.

I did wet my finger and wiped over the lens, but that didn't do anything. I was thinking of using Windex or something to clean it thoroughly, but not sure that should be used on the lens.

Thank you in advance for your help.

I would think just use a micro fiber towel and water then dry with dry towel. If blurriness still occurs then you have a problem.

Default Thanks, but found out this from the dealer...

....They said it is likely dirty on the inside since cleaning the outside didn't help. I am still under warranty so they're sending a mobile tech (they're an hour from my home) to make the necessary repair.

Thanks!

That's great customer service from your dealer! You can't ask for more than that.

The awesome customer service is the second reason why I bought a Lexus! First is the high-quality of their vehicles.
I'm guessing you have condensation in your lens due a failed seal. Hopefully it is a real easy job to pop out the old camera unit and install the new one, if this is the issue.

Any fix? Mine gets dirty and makes the image really blurry. Once I wipe it off it is fine but really bothers me! The weather here in NE Ohio does not help!
