Hi,
I am disappointed with FM radio & CD audio/sound quality of 2106 ES350.
Sound is OK when parked.
However, above 50mph sound looses its clarity and quality becomes quite poor.
I have fiddled with settings, i.e. base, trebel, front, rear, left side, right side, etc.
- without any real improvement.

It just seems the audio system is not capable of maintaining and putting out
sound quality at normal cruising speed (say 50 to 75mph).

Do any Forum members feel the same way?
Any ideas, observations, and suggestions, etc. would be greatly appreciated.

I agree, I am so tempted to get a quote from the dealer to get the mark levingson system to be added on. My buddy has one in his RX350 and he LOVES it

Many thanks actright.
Although this ES has many fine qualities, it appears (or sounds) that Lexus fails on audio quality.
Any other member comments would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

You would be better off just trading yours for an ES with ML (cheaper). Or, just go aftermarket.

Mine sounds outstanding, but I have ML. I'm guessing you just have the base radio?

absolutely don't!

ml system is nice for a OEM equipped system, but it makes no sense to add it after the fact. it is not going to be cost effective

ML system would get destroyed vs aftermarket consisting of:

2 x front door 3 way components

2 x rear door coax

2 x 10-12" subs in trunk (not required if you don't like bass)

1 x amplifier

go to a reputable audio shop and all this can be done for different budgets.

Upgrading just the speakers would probably improve the sound quality, along with a bit of sound deadening material applied.
