The thing is it's really just a roll of the dice. It looks like you've been pretty lucky so far but that's not always the case. You never really know how the previous owner(s) treated the car. They could have been hard on the car causing excessive wear on internal parts making repairs necessary earlier than would otherwise be necessary. There could be hidden damage as seen above.

I've had and know others who have had great experiences with used cars. I've also had and know others who have had terrible experiences with used cars.
