Battery Draw after 2008 IS 350 sits for 4 hrs or more
Over the past several weeks I have taken my 2008 IS 350 to the dealership because it losses power and will not start in the mornings after sitting overnight in my driveway. I have replaced the battery and the dealership kept it for several days to monitor the vehicle and unable to find the issue. Once I jump the vehicle, I have power throughout the day and sometimes several days I do not loss power and have no issues. I am at my wits end and do not know what to do? Please help

Have you tried your question in the IS forums? They might have a better idea.

I had the same problem with a 2009 Accord years ago. I replaced the battery, and it worked for a few months, but went back to being the same way. The alternator was tested and had no issues. When I brought it to Honda, they wanted to replace the battery cable for $700. I declined, because I had doubts. A few days later, the car did not start at all. It just made a click sound, with no cranking. In the end, the problem ended up being the starter. I took the car to a local shop and had the starter replaced. We gave the car to my in laws, and it is still running today with the same battery (after 4 years). Basically, the starter was defective and causing a parasitic drain overnight. Replacing the starter cost me about $600 (less than the battery cable). I hope this helps.

I did have a similar event happen to me on my Honda CRV. One day, car will not start. I used a Jumper, car still does not start. Battery was just a year+ old.
Called a friend Mechanic and at the end of the day, I ended up replacing the Starter and had the battery replaced (Costco) free. It was the starter. Knock on wood, everything's still OK. What I should have done is to have had the starter checked at the Auto Store, lesson learned.
