If the car is a base ES or Premium Package ES, it would have NuLuxe seating surfaces. If it is a Luxury Package ES, it would have standard leather seating surfaces, and, if it is an Ultra Luxury Package ES, it would have the upgraded semi-aniline leather seating surfaces.

Based on what I can see of the stitching on the seats, the console, and the driver's seat, I believe that the car is a Luxury Package ES, which would mean the standard leather.

Doesn't the luxury package come with ventilated seats?

I'm pretty sure that the car in the picture does have ventilated seats, but it is just the case that the perforations aren't showing up well on the picture. If you look at the controls just forward of the center console, you can see that there are the dials for the heated and ventilated seats. Also, only the Luxury and Ultra Luxury Package cars came with that stitch pattern on the seats.

From what I recall nuluxe does not have the perpendicular seems in the stitching on the cushions. Sales guy point that out to us and it matched what we saw on the window stickers

Also, my wife has an IS with nuluxe with heated ventilated seats.

I cannot answer the original question, but I can verify our Premium package car came with ventilated seats and NuLuxe. Frankly, I like the NuLuxe every bit as much as the leather in our former RX, perhaps even better since it doesn’t develop cracks along the stretch marks in the animal hide (as our RX did by 5K miles). So nothing to be afraid of, but the leather commands a higher price so don’t let them pass NuLuxe off as leather if you are evaluating this for purchase.

I agree, I love the soft feel of the NuLuxe and the fact that it still looks new after couple of years for a lot less it cost.
