Default Lexus parts problem in Canada?

Has anyone located within Canada experienced problems with their parts orders lately? I have some warranty work to be done and have been waiting on a part for over a month now. I have gone to multiple dealerships and spoke to Lexus Canada and they tell me the same thing - I just need to be patient. I'm curious as to what Lexus is doing in cases where the vehicle is disabled. Are we expected to not have a vehicle for several weeks/months while they figure out their new system?

What is the part?

Pretty sure they would give you a loaner if the vehicle is disabled.

The warranty part is just an interior piece.

However, I have damage to my oil pan that Oakville Lexus claims may be unsafe to drive in its current state, but because it’s damage (not covered under warranty) they won’t give me a loaner while I wait for the part (which might be months). I’m not convinced it’s as dire as they claim, but they had me sign off on being notified of such even though they can’t fix it right now.

i really don’t want to make an insurance claim for a $700 repair.

I don't know the part number but I'm sure I can get it out of the states without issue. The system "upgrade" was apparently only in Canada, but the wait time and lack of information on when parts will be arriving is very frustrating. I'm not sure how they can run a business in such an unorganized fashion.

I sent the link so you could look up the part. Then you would be able to determine if you could actually order and get your car fixed. And phone the supplier in the USA and ask what shipping method they use.

I was just informed today (a short 5 weeks to the date of ordering it) that my part has arrived (all the way from Toronto - less than an hour away).
