Rough Ride in my 2017 Lexus ES 350
#16
I would recommend focusing just as much on the posture that can be achieved by the shape of the seat. I drive a lot and overlooked the poor posture the 2014 ES provides with the seat design at least for my height at 6'1''. I had to dump my 2014 ES350 after 30 days. It had me seeing a back doctor and physical therapist. I worked with an interior specialist and all kinds of seat adjustments, but could not find anything that worked out. The prior generation's seat (07-12) is significantly better ergonomically for a one size fits all. Oddly enough, after arriving in Dallas on a 4 hour drive in the '14 ES and then immediately getting in sitting/driving the 2019 Camry my back pain was immediately relieved. It fills the little void the '14 ES leaves in the upper back, though if I was any taller the top of the Camry chair would probably pushed my shoulders forward, not sure why they are designing all their new cars to be for shorter people. And I even had my air pressure in the ES down to about 30 psi from the recommended 33 by the time I traded it to help improve the ride some.
