2013 es350 has 6.5 transaxle capacity i believe.

how precise should the fluid in and out be? would 0.1 L difference be a cause for concern?
Yeah honestly I think you’ll be ok with what he did...I’ve done that in the past without problems, BUT I’d only do it that way IF the service is performed while the transmission is COLD, simply because I want the fluid I’m measuring while taking it out is the same temp as the fluid I’m putting in. Tranny fluid expands with temperature, so to make sure everything is accurate, you want the new stuff and the old stuff to be the “same” in expansion/size, when you’re doing a measurement like that.

And you mechanic added a little extra, so perhaps that would composite for the temp difference if it was hot.

But in keeping with the spirit if this thread...YES, I would do either a drain and fill or full flush every 50,000 miles on this transmission. And I’d even do a pan drop and filter replacement. If the fluid level is done properly it will only help with the shift quality longterm. These are great transmissions and cheap to buy if something fails...and they’re cheap because supply and demand. They don’t have problems, so they are cheap and available on the used market.

I sure you are kidding with your post that is actually funny. I personally can provide no value you are correct. What I can do is forward information from someone trained by Lexus, has 21 years experience working on them and overseeing a huge service department and has been trained at the Lexus transmission factory in Detroit which is a world more experience then anyone else posting their opinion. If you do not see the difference then just WOW. You keep changing your fluid.

I went make to re-read all the post because you stated that I brought no value. I thought I must have missed your previous post that brought value quoting studies, test and engineering reports about how Lexus is wrong about not changing the fluid. I see nothing but your rhetoric from your one post. You must have forgot to post these factual comments. Please enlighten us with your scientific findings. WAITING...........

Transmission shops and rebuilders tell us the 6 and 8 speeds start having serious problems at around 100,000 miles if the owner never changed the fluid:

.
I had my transmission fluid changed by authorized Lexus dealer, done by factory certified Master Technican doing this work for many years, he agrees that you should change it as preventative maintenance.
