Brake pads , cant find any lexus replacement?
Hi,
cant find lexus brand pads. I want to replace the rear.
Which one you recommend? Since going to lexus svc center is pricy i wouldnlike to buy on line & have it installed outside. Can i use any brand since this is not so sensitive part of the car? Which one? For es 350 -03 model
Any input is appreciated.
Thanks

Not all brake pads are the same. I have no recommendation, but I would not buy the cheapest one on the market.

i have had OEM toyota brake pads on my 07 ES350 and for some reason never been happy with them in the past so i started using what i use on my performance vehciel brake systems i have always enjoyed EBC RED stuff pads and rotors when it comes time to change the pads and rotor on the 2016 i will always be using EBC best brakes in the world in my opinion but not cheap at all but you dont go cheap when you buy shoes cause they are important for your body dont be cheap on brakes cause you car needs them to stop

Brake squeal is caused by the pads vibrating when applied. This is eliminated by the installation of shims and sometimes needed for the best of brakes... Any good quality brake pad will suffice including Toyota... Do some research and find out which are best...

The better brake pad sets will include new shims and hardware. Cheap ones will be pads only so you have to reuse the old hardware which may be worn out. Be sure to clean out all the dirt and rust from the mounting points on the calipers so the new pads move freely. Also check the caliper slide pins to make sure they are not stuck. There are many brake videos on you-tube that may be helpful if you are not familiar with doing brake work.
