Default Adding a thigh extender

Is there a way to add a thigh extender / replace the drivers seat base in a 2013 350?

I'm sure that anything is possible, but the question would be about how expensive it would be to do so.

The thigh extender was only available on the Generation 6 ES with the Ultra Luxury package. So, you would have to buy an UL ES seat. You might be able to buy one from a salvage yard, but the UL ES came with semi aniline leather and the base ES had the NuLuxe seating surfaces. So, you would have to have the UL seat re-upolstered to match the seating in the rest of your car. And, you would also need to re-wire the seat/car to make the seat adjustment controls operational.

My guess is that the cost of doing all of that would easily exceed what it would cost if you sold the base ES and added money to buy a used 2013 UL ES with the thigh extender (and lots of other UL features).

The other consideration is that not all people are happy with the thigh extender seats: if the driver is a (shall we say) "heavier" individual then apparently they may feel some of the support/activation hardware built into the seat and find this uncomfortable. There are threads on this in these forums (forae?)

Count me in on that. I tried it once and found it very uncomfortable. And I'm very far from being "heavy" or even overweight... I've not used it again...

I use the thigh extender all the time, it really helps my legs on a long trip. I am average height and weight.
