Default 7 November Update to Lexus Enform App

After the 7 November update of the Lexus Enform App to 2.21.800.45 it no longer works. Whenever I try to open the app I get the message "Unfortunately Lexus Enform has stopped." Such a total useless app. I do no know why Lexus would even bother to offer this app. Went ahead and uninstalled it.

Version 7.1? Mine updated to 2.21.800.45 and still works fine. Really, all the update did was change the Slacker icon to what it's now called, LiveXLive.

Lexus Enform app still not working. Tried uninstalling it and reinstalling it but get the same result. Unfortunately Lexus Enform has stopped. Consequently cannot access any of the apps in the suite. Reported the issue to Lexus and will see what response I get back. Beginning to regret buying a Lexus. They make a great car but have had various technology issues ever since I bought this car( this being my first Lexus).

Are you using the correct version for your vehicle? Also, what phone are you using?

I have a 2016 ES 350 and a Samsung Galaxy Sky phone. The app has worked fine ever since I bought the car in May 2016. On November 7 the app automatically updated to Version 2.21.800.45. After the update, I went to open the app so see if Lexus had added anything and got the message "Unfortunately Lexus Enform has stopped." It has been that way ever since. There are only two versions of the Lexus Enform app - this one and 2.0. I tried to download version 2.0 to see if that would solve the problem but the app is only for cars after 2018. I then uninstalled the app and reinstalled version 1.7 but just got the same message when I try to open it. Guess I will wait to see what type of response I get back from Lexus.

I don't know where you're seeing this version 1.7. When I look at what I have and what is available I see 2.21.800.45. It was updated on 11/7, as you said.

Sorry, I was looking at another number. The version I have is 2.21.800.45.

Finally got the issue of the Lexus Inform app resolved after doing my own research. Finally got a call back from Lexus Technical Support. I was on the phone with them for close to an hour. First they told me the app had been replaced by the new Lexus app. Tech representative told me to download the new Lexus app. However, the app did not show up in the Google Play store even though the Representative told me she could see it on her phone. Finally the Representative told me she could no longer help me and to take the car to the dealership and see if their technology people there could help me. I then went to the Lexus Drivers web site and I saw where Lexus has came out with a new app. I tried to download and install this new app but the app is not compatible with my Samsung phone. I have come to the conclusion that the7 November update is not compatible with my phone either. What the Representative told me about the Enform App Suite being replaced was false because the app is still listed on the Drivers Web Site and in the Google Play Store. So I guess if I want the app I will have to buy a new phone. I guess I will not bother with the Lexus app suite. Now have a car with outdated technology unless I want to buy a new phone. Since I have had technology problems with this car since the day I purchased it will no longer consider buying another Lexus. This was my first Lexus and will be the last. I usually trade after 5 years. When that time comes will not consider a Lexus since their technology is behind the times with no touch screen and no Android Auto. I hate this mouse touch pad with a passion.

Yeah, I knew going in that Lexus was way behind on tech. If that's what's important to you, make sure to go on long test drives during your replacement search. Where you can get more familiar with the vehicle. Life's too short to drive something you despise.

Just a note: Even though Lexus is slacking on the infotainment side, I really like the mouse controller and placement of the nav screen. Different strokes, I guess.

My Enform app (v 2.21.800.49) suddenly stopped working yesterday, app opens but will not connect to the car. I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling and no change. Judging from the posts in this thread all we can do is hope for another update to hopefully fix this

If you are talking about the Enform Remote app, it may be an issue with the newer models only. The Enform Remote app for my 2015 is v 4.7.9(1.0) and is working fine. Also the free Enform App Suite on my iPhone is v2.21.804.24 (922199d). You may want to see if there is another update.

Yep. Made me think twice when buying - my old car was a 3rd gen Acura TL. There are a couple of tech features that 2007 car had that my 2016 ES does not, including a much better voice command system. An equivalent TLX blows the ES out of the water from a tech standpoint, and if you're the type to get jealous over tech toys, don't even look at the new RDX.

But I've gotten old enough that ride comfort is more important than Star Trek toys at this point, so I went with the ES. Would have enjoyed a HUD, though.

Found out from Lexus that the Enform App Suite Version 2.21.800.45 had a bug which is why I was getting the message "Unfortunately Lexus Enform has stopped." I downloaded the new version 2.21.800.49. This version now works on my Samsung phone.
