Default Deer Hit

My first post. I hit a deer yesterday evening on the back roads. I bumped it into the ditch and it got up and ran away. I drove it home with the alerts popping up. When I went to get in the car this morning to drop it off at the body shop, all the windows were down and the sunroof was open so I guess it’s safe to say some of the sensors are wonky.

Oh, man, that's really too bad. It looks like the entire front clip has been pushed back somewhat, ugh. There be lots of $$ parts behind the grill...
I guess the air bag did not deploy so the impact didn't meet the required level, so that's good. But window/roof being open is concerning.
We assume that you have adequate insurance coverage, so costs may be tolerable.
Please let us know what the assessor finds, and also what the repair shop finds because those two lists are rarely the same.

Thanks for your response! I have comprehensive insurance with a $500 deductible. I’m so bummed right now but am glad it wasn’t worse. Bags didn’t deploy and my teenage son was in the car with me. I really don’t understand the windows all randomly opening on their own. I found that to be weird. So now I’m just waiting on the claims adjuster to do their thing and call me to let me know what’s going on.

I know. I had to wipe to the doors and the seats down.

I would guess that coincidentally you happened to put the keyfob against something such that the unlock button was pressed. Unless it wasn't set up at the dealership on original purchase, that will open all the windows and the sunroof.

I think that’s highly likely since my purse is full of all kinds of things. I got everything in there but the kitchen sink. Lol
