I just finished installing the spoiler and body side moldings. It was a bit stressful to drill 4 holes in my trunk, but after measuring more times than necessary it went on smoothly. A quick thanks to member rmak.
The body side molding was not as bad, but after measuring 3 times it went well. Just a quick picture. It needs a thorough cleaning, but that will be another day.
Looks awesome. Now you have me thinking about the side molding…...

I was unsure about the side molding. I taped them in place and looked it over and asked friends what they thought. In the end I figured it breaks up the wide expanse, and will reduce damage when careless people swing open their doors. I have a couple small spots that need touch up paint when it was in the hands of previous owners. My 2005 Corolla came with the door molding, and have done their job.

I wanna do this, will the dealer do the install? Also, I see NY plates, the dealers are open during the lockdown? I am in NY as well.

The Dealership nearest me is Prestige Lexus, Rt.17 Ramsey, NJ. They are open for drop off, and will do the install. While I did it myself, I believe the installation would be around $200.
They also had best price in area for ordering parts online.

So I called the dealer closest to me and they quoted me $630 for spoiler and installation. Seems a bit much...I'm gonna shop around...I may have to drive to ramsey.

that's absurd. The spoiler itself costs like 300$ painted and takes about a half hour to install with some proper double sided mounting tape. You dont need to screw it in and put holes in your trunk. Very easy DIY.

The stick on spoiler is aftermarket. The factory spoiler has studs molded into it. I just installed mine.

The spoiler (factory) is only 180.00 at Augusta Lexus painted to match from the factory. https://parts.augustalexus.com/p/Lex...7A3313002.html

The stick on from ebay looks very close to factory and no holes. I thought about trying to remove the studs from the factory one and installing it but just went ahead and bought the template and drilled holes.

This was a dealer in New Rochelle, NY. I will shop around to different dealers, I definitely want the spoiler, makes the car look way better. The tech also told me that he thinks the side molding is bad idea, that the newly painted molding will look different from the old pain on my car. Is this true?

Spoiler is $174 at Prestige if ordered online https://parts.prestigelexus.com/acce.../Exterior.html
I like my door molding and see no problem with color matching. If your paint is a bit faded, a light polishing compound should brighten it up.

I pretty much just 3M Tape it lol It have not fall so far and I don't think it will fall. It's light weight... Also if you use 3M GLUE for TRIM. I think you can simply glue it? Because $630 sounds like $450 is Labor....Which might be 30mins job.
