fart noise? 2014 es 300h
my car makes a fart sound (front of drivers side) a couple of minutes after I've parked my car.
is this normal? I read in other forums that this happens in the Prius and as well as Honda hybrids and its related to the brakes?
should I be worried?

Evaporative Emission System Pressure Sensor - Manifold Absolute Pressure Correlation
The difference between the pressure of the canister pressure sensor (Vapor Pressure Pump*) and manifold absolute pressure sensor (MAP*) is higher than 8.7 kPa (gauge) [65.259 mmHg(gauge)]
The pressure of the canister pressure sensor and manifold absolute pressure sensor is monitored 50 minutes after the power switch is turned off. If there is a difference in the pressures, the MIL is illuminated
Required Sensors/Components (Main)
Canister pressure sensor
Manifold absolute pressure sensor
Required Sensors/Components (Related)
-
Frequency of Operation - Once per driving cycle
Duration - Within 65 seconds
MIL Operation - 2 driving cycles
Monitor runs whenever the following DTCs are not stored
P0106, P0107, P0108 (Manifold absolute pressure)
P0401 (EGR system (closed))
P0452, P0453 (Evaporative emission system pressure sensor)
Time elapsed after engine stop - 50 minutes
Time after ECM started by soak-timer - 60 seconds or more
Auxiliary battery voltage - 10.5 V or higher
Intake air temperature - -10°C (14°F) or higher
Engine coolant temperature sensor - -10°C (14°F) or higher

Pumps run to equalize pressures even when the car is not running...sounds a bit like Penam described it, mechanical flatulence.

My nx300h 2019 is doing that as well, it is very annoying and embarrassing. I brought it over the dealership and left it there for a day and they said they don't hear a thing when they drove it around to test it, when they told us to pick it up because there is nothing wrong with the break and guess what, the farting sound was still there when we drove it back home. Doesn't matter if i push the break harder or softer, farting noise wont go away. They are telling me that all the hybrid does that and even the electric cars. I asked them if they would fix it and told me no, the car is safe no break problems, it's just a sound.. so the dealership won't fix the noise. Is there anyway to fix and get rid of the sound? Paying so much money for luxury car that you can't even enjoy is very frustrating .

We have become familiar with many sounds in our lives, refrigerators humming, icemakers clanking,
regular cars exhaust puffing, power steering pump whining, accessory belt slapping, home humidifier
splashing, dogs yipping when they dream that we've accepted those noises. Our newest Hybrid designs
make so much Less noise while driving that they had to add the Pedestrian Warning sound to announce
your presence at crosswalks and parking lots! The emission system pressure balancing noises are just
the latest to learn to live with, right?
