I've noticed that the brown wood steering wheel on my 2013 ES350 looks a bit greenish to me. Looking at it, particularly in some sun, it has a green cast compared to the darker brown of the other interior trim. Anyone else notice this? I'm thinking it is UV fading.
Yes, mine too. That was one of the first things I noticed when I bought my 2013 used in 2016. It didn't bother me enough to do anything about it, and I didn't know any better than to think that wasn't usual.
I don't think it is the windows, which are also tinted darker because the other wood trim in the vehicle on the doors and dash look much more rust or reddish brown in color. Here is an attempt to capture it.
Notice that the steering wheel is lighter, and looks a bit greener in hue than the door trim which is a browner, redder hue.

My steering wheel has that green tint to it too. It doesnt match the wood grain in the rest of the car. I always wondered why they would not make it match.
I'm looking at that and thinking that it looks like there was a crack at the bottom of that piece as well as the darkening towards the bottom end, and that someone has tried to fix the crack, then sanding the one piece down and relacquering it. Have you owned the car since new? The chances that it came out of the factory like that are somewhere between "slim" and "none".
edit: (Never mind...I see that you bought the car off Craigslist).

DId you deep clean it? Looks like years of Sweat and oil to make that greenish color lol
But Honestly. I don't like those CLEAN COAT on the WOOD....it's too shiny...I prefer Just WOOD....
