I'm getting this car for my father. like the safety feature if this car. was thinking of getting 2018 camry V6 has panoramic camera, auto stop while backing up and HUD. but don't want to take the risk with the 8 speed transmission issues. He will only put on 3-4k miles/year. ES350 are pretty reliable. so not buying anymore warranty just 2 years unlimited miles CPO. any major issues with ES i need be concern about?

Toyota V6 and Lexus V6 have the same engines and transmissions and they are known to be very reliable.
If this is just very occasional use, why not get a newer Camry with better safety features for your dad?
