2015 ES350 19k miles CPO - $21.5K, good price?
This will be my first used car purchase. The vehicle had two prior owners. The first year the vehicle was used commercially. That's where 11,500 of the miles came from. The remaining 7,500 was personal use. The vehicle comes with additional 2 years of coverage. Is $21.5K a fair price? Should I consider an extended warranty for peace of mind? If so, what would be a fair price to pay? Should I be concerned that the vehicle was heavily used as a commercial vehicle during the first year of use? Thanks

Considering the options, that price doesn’t seem too bad to me, but with the current state of our economy, I wouldn’t be afraid to press them to knock off another grand or so. Hopefully someone with a more recent purchase can share their thoughts.

If this is the one at Lexus Silver Spring the Lexus owners web site is showing all the maintenance has been done and no issues reported. Commercial vehicle could be it was a dealer service loaner car. Nice color exterior and interior. That color is really hard to show dirt. I have bought two previous loaner cars. As you mentioned two extra years of warranty and two extra free services. Extended warranty, I would pass on. Lexus has been #1 for eight years and #2 over the last 10 years in dependability by J D Power. Consumer Reports ranks Lexus # in reliability.

Another question for the forum. Would you do an independent pre-purchase inspection (i.e., take to another Lexus dealer to verify the accuracy of the 161 point inspection) for a CPO vehicle? Would that be a waste of money?

Seems a little high priced to me based on low car sales during these times. I would keep shopping and even expand out up to 4 hours from where I lived. Nice ride to ride in 3 1/2 back after you get one. Especially if you get a Great Deal.
Also at the Mileage you are starting out with. If maintained you are likely wasting money on a Warranty, unless it up to 150k and you plan to keep the car that long.
