Extended Warrenty
#16
The way to handle extended warranties IMO is not to spend any money on one. What I did, and do, is put away a small amount of money each time I get a check in the mail which is 3 times a month. Could be a SS check, a paycheck, a pension check, dividends, etc. Put this money in a separate account designated for emergency repairs on your car. Then, if needed, it's there. No 6-7-8 year dealer warranty to pay for when you buy your car that's a rip anyway. Now if you don't encounter any issues with the vehicle you have a nice bonus to spend on whatever you want. Those that actually get to use the extended warranty that they mostly overpaid for, are by far the exception to the rule...

Roland,
Club Lexus has been mentioning this Lexus of Shreveport contact since 2008. Toby sells this extended warranty for very cheap. I bought this extended warranty right before my 4 year / 50k warranty expired on my 2007 RX.
With all the niggling defects, and I have a keen eye to spot any defects on my RX, it was monetarily practical to buy this extended warranty on my vehicle. I got the 8 year / 125K warranty.
You just give him a call and provide your vin number.
