So the wife and i finally got around to going for a drive this afternoon just to get a good feel of how the car drives at highway speeds and for the wife to do some driving in it.
I drive it during the week and my wife drives here 2019 Toyota Kluger That's Australian for Highlander.
Stopped in a few places to take some photos. And enjoy the drive home at dusk going in to night. Man does the ES look good at night all lit up and the ambient foot well lighting is a nice touch.
All in all we are both extremely happy with the purchase.

Beautiful car by the way, and you have leather seats in them too--not the nu-luxe. The power fold mirrors should be standard--not unavailable in North America. The power adjustments in the back should be made available to the North American market. The GS had these rear power adjustments available in the 2013 to 2015 model years. There is no reason why these features are not available here. To manually fold these mirrors in -- like in a carwash is pure embarrassment and inconvenient. Power fold mirrors are an operational necessity. I don't know what is in the minds of Toyota/Lexus corporate not to have this feature. Is it pure ignorance, stupidity, or arrogance ( or all )?
Yeah a lot of the videos i watch on you tube are from the states and i have never seen the rear passenger AC, Audio and heated seat controls on any cars in the videos kinda strange if you ask me.Bummer about the power mirrors as well.
But this is toyota we are talking about here in Australia they are asking 52K for a base model Hi Lux a friggen base model with almost no safety tec at all no rear parking sensors manual AC. Wife an i took one look and it was like WTF off to Lexus we went.
