IMO most, if not all of those stories about disaster after a flush are about a transmission on its last legs.
You may want to consider a filter change as well in the future. It is a pan drop and drain/fill. The ES 350 has a paper filter element

I have a scangauge in my Lexus and my 4Runner. I use them full time.
Copy, I assume you were able to download an extra function to monitor transmission temperature.
I'm using torque pro with an elm 327 Bluetooth adapter. Have not found a reliable formula for transmission temperature on a Toyota product. Found some formulas that people tried and said worked for them, but gave me all sorts of goofy readings. I have a techstream set up, but that's not very convenient to drive around with my laptop without a dedicated laptop cradle.
thanks for your info.

Its there some kind of function you can do where a dash light blinks, then you know it's at the correct temperature to complete the service level?

Yes, there is a code available online that can be added for trans temps. I backed it up with techstream and it was accurate.

I have seen that in a tech article but have not used it. I think it uses a jumper wire at the obd2 port

I show a filter, # 35330, not a screen. See my post above. I changed mine on my 2016. Same transmission.

Tell the Toyota Dealer to look for the Avalon Trans. Same Trans, some maybe have a little different ECU box but internals and filter are the same.

Well I called the local Lexus dealer here in Knoxville and after saying they'd do a drain and fill for $300, found out that it was only going to be replacing just the fluid that came out and not a complete replacement of all fluid. When I asked about a total replacement or flush and change of filter, I was put on hold and service tech came back and said Head Service said they were completely declining to do ANY change, not even the drain and fill!!!!

Called Aamaco and they said they do a flush with synthetic Valvoline on a BG machine which only uses the cars' transmission pump to replace the fluids for $300.

Called back the Toyota dealer and they said they also do the drain and fill and no filter replacement

Im wondering if the Aamaco method works?
