Default Static radio 2018 ES 350

I have sirius radio and on certain songs (instruments used) I hear a slight static in the sound. I usually keep the radio between 30-40 sound level... What could this be? Can you recommend me moving the bass/tremble up or down, maybe take off surround sound, etc... Does anyone else notice this?? It happens much more on 80/90's songs that use more instruments than like rap songs I guess.

I have a 2014, with ML and Sirius. I’ve never noticed anything like that.

Yeah its only certain songs or instruments used. Maybe I will mess with the tremble and bass.

Something is odd? You're on the right approach. Go into the Sound settings and set it where you like it. I doubt Surround is the problem? I think music sounds dull without it on. Try a CD and/or whatever else and see if you hear the noise on other inputs. I have Satellite (Sirius/XM) too, and it is better than other car brands I have had it in. The sound quality and volume are certainly better. Reception is the same. Check a HD FM radio station near you and see how that sounds? Check any Lexus info you can as well.

It was the treble. It was at 75% and I turned it down to 25%... It probably doesn't help that I have tinnitus that is reactive to outside noise.

Default Sound Level 30 - 40 Wow

That 30 - 40 really seems like a high sound level range to me. I'd be afraid I'd blow out my speakers. On my previous '13 ES and my current '17 I usually keep it around sound level 13. I have a severe hearing loss and keep my hearing aides at the preset level or one beep higher and find that level 13 on the radio is about right most of the time. Sometime when they are playing a favorite I increase the radio volume but that doesn't happen very often. I also turn down the radio when I have passengers and am trying to carry on a conversation. In my youth I drove Fords before stereo and had a reverberator for the rear speaker. I really played that loud and it may have contributed to my hearing loss.

agreed, I have tinnitus too. My ML stereo is aggravating. I have the treble and mid range at about 2 and bass about 9, otherwise the phone is ringing after a couple minutes.

Tinnitus and reactive T is something else. I only have 1 or 2 constant sounds now and I have about 15 annoying days a month. The other 15 days its still there, but very low... When it started 3.5 years ago I had 4-5 sounds then I got my TMJ splint and its where its at now. Only slept about 50 hours in 2 months and went from 210 pounds to 175 pounds amongst other things.... Luckily the treble was the problem or I would have not enjoyed the radio and been searching for that annoying sound constantly.
