Power supply/Cigarette lighter: Putting air in tires
It got cold here last night down to 55 degress. My car tire pressure is suppose to be at 33. When I turned the car on last night one tire was at 28 so I'm assuming 5 pounds will trip the tire pressure monitor... My question is that I have a portable tire pressure inflator that needs to be plugged into the power supply of the car. I plugged it into under the arm rest console while the car was on and it did not turn on the portable tire inflator... Is there a power supply that I can plug this into?? ES 2018

Air pressure drops 1 psi per 10 deg F drop in temperature. For a tire to go to 28 psi and trip the alarm means that either a) it was losing air or b) the TPMS was reset at somewhere around 100 deg F and then all four tires would have dropped pressure (unlikely). I'd be looking for a slow leak on that one.
