Default Power supply/Cigarette lighter: Putting air in tires

It got cold here last night down to 55 degress. My car tire pressure is suppose to be at 33. When I turned the car on last night one tire was at 28 so I'm assuming 5 pounds will trip the tire pressure monitor... My question is that I have a portable tire pressure inflator that needs to be plugged into the power supply of the car. I plugged it into under the arm rest console while the car was on and it did not turn on the portable tire inflator... Is there a power supply that I can plug this into?? ES 2018

The power supply in the console provides 12VDC to whatever appliance is plugged into it. Either the pump is defective or it was not inserted far enough to make contact. Or, maybe the PS fuse has been tripped and there is no juice there... Check the fuse and try another appliance if you have one... maybe a phone charger. I know from experience that one must push the plug in until it bottoms. GOOD LUCK!

Yeah trouble shooting, my GPS works in the same outlet... The car was on so maybe the pump is defective (it worked 6 months ago)

Air pressure drops 1 psi per 10 deg F drop in temperature. For a tire to go to 28 psi and trip the alarm means that either a) it was losing air or b) the TPMS was reset at somewhere around 100 deg F and then all four tires would have dropped pressure (unlikely). I'd be looking for a slow leak on that one.

All 4 tires dropped a few pounds, but only one dropped to 28 and set the psi alarm off... When I started the car at night the tires were something like 28, 29, 29, 30

I've been in situations like this. I suspect the plug is not being pushed in far enough to make contact in the cigarette lighter port.
