Rodents (I think Chipmunks) have eaten through the wire harness that connects to our knock sensors, which causes major mechanical problems. This has happened twice at $500 repair cost each time since the mechanic has to go deep into the engine to repair. This last time I had him wrap all the wires with Honda's Rodent Tape that contains a burning agent if a rodent tries to chew.
I want to monitor these wires as an additional precaution using a Borescope i.e. the small TV camera that allows me to examine the area in the engine.
My question... any idea where I would enter the engine to monitor the harness for any signs of chewing? I am not a mechanic but mechanical in nature. I certainly do not want to dig all the way down to the harness, but I could remove a few things if that's necessary.
PS I have a 2017 Lexus ES350
