Default 2016 ES Reset Tire Location

When I rotate my tires, how do I reset the location so that they match the tire pressures displayed on the dash? I looked all over and couldnt find anything on it.

Thanks for the help

Check your owners manual. The button is under the dash towards the right, a little black button.

I just saw that you have a 2016. Mine is a 2013, so it might be different.
Sorry for the confusion.

Thank you...I know about the button, but what I am missing is how it knows what tire is in what location.

Some of the cars I work on, I need a scan tool to set. Others will use tire pressure. You start at Left Front and release tire pressure or add tire pressure and it sees the tire pressure changing and assigns it to that location.

As long as the individual TPM ids stay the same, the car doesn't really care. Just use the under-dash reset button as instructed in the manual and all will be well. If not, look for a cause (maybe battery in one or more TPM is low, perhaps there is an extra TPM in the trunk (spare tire?). If, however, even one of the individual TPM has a different ID from what is programmed into the car then the system won't work until all four units are properly programmed OR the car electronics are re-programmed. If you have all four reading on the dash, you can go around the car and change the tire pressure up or down one at a time and note the position on the dash display. i believe reading clockwise from the left rear the tire positions match the display on the dash.

Not necessary.

To add to my post above and reinforce what Mike728 posted, I believe that since the individual TPM receivers (mounted in each wheel well); are what actually determine the position of the reading for that tire on the dash display. Since the receivers do not move, then the display positions don't move.

There are only 2 receivers, 1 front (*7) , 1 back (*8). The position of the wheel is determined by the strength of the signal to the receiver.
