I have a cracked windshield....have been waiting for 3 months on a replacement windshield that's on backorder. Does anyone know or have any idea where I can get one.

Yes I am. The Lexus dealership recommended me to Glass Solutions. My windshield was supposed to have been delivered today, now they are telling me they don't have any idea of the ETA due to backorders.

I had my Santa Fe windshield replaced last spring. Safelite was backed up and the first appointment was 4 weeks. Then their were more delays due to getting the correct windshield. Their seem to be at least 5 or so different windshields depending on options due to tinting, rear view mirror, electric heating, Homelink, etc. The first 3 were wrong. 2 week wait for every new order. I was fortunate the crack was not bad enough to keep me from using it while waiting.

For some other spec, such as a base model, aftermarket is possible when available. So one persons experience vs another is wholly dependent on which specific windshield is being sought.

We had ours replaced on our 2016 ES300H with all the safety gadgets at Safelite a couple of years ago. They offered us both their brand and OEM. They claimed that both were manufactured by the same company. My wife insisted on the OEM, so we paid a lot more. The surprise was the extra calibration fee for the safety gadget sensors attached to the inside of the windshield, which required a visit to their shop.

I had a Pilkington windshield installed in my 2014 ES350, there were many options which dictated the windshield replacement. I originally had a Denso/Numi glass oem windshield, mine does have the acoustic shield, no lanes depart, no radar cruise, with rain sensing wipers. I’ve been very happy with the install and glass quality, I live in central Florida, the new windshield which is a little over a year old has a few light chips already, thanks to I4. Our glass company where I work installed it, he has 30 years experience, no problems at all.

There are just 3 options for the ES, you can see the part numbers on parts.lexus.com and which Lexus dealer carries them. You can ring those dealers and see if they can source it faster.

Safelite repair, Safelite replace! Lol.
I've used them a few of times and they will be your best bet. Last time I used them the guy showed up with 4 different versions of a windshield for my Chrysler 300.
The problem isn't a window shortage as far as whether or not they exist, it's a logistics issue right now. I used to work for a glass manufacturer that supplied glass straight to the assembly plant for Mustangs, Mazda 3's and Mazda 6's. Those were generally long-term contracts, and even after a vehicle model sunsets, the OEM is usually on the hook for up to 7 years to retain aspects of their original equipment, have the capacity to provide inventory if needed, etc. Now the last two years, things are obviously changing, but Safelite is one of the biggest, if not the biggest players in the repair game, and they have access to the same glass as anyone else.
Also, unless you have an auto policy with some insane all-inclusive coverage, it'll be cheaper to pay for new glass if you do it out of pocket.

Our NX has been stored since Mid Oct. I called the dealer to order the windshield again hoping it would be in stock by June 1st.
They are back ordered. I’d dump this NX in a second but my wife wants to wait for the glass.
I’m speechless … there are windshields for new production but none for replacement. Same as the fobs. We were going to buy a second NX(450) but turned it down for obvious reasons.

Curious.... if this takes forever can I file for Lemon Law.... I cannot use the NX the way it is.
EDIT... Dealer response... No>>> Body damage does not qualify for Lemon Law
