Default After battery disconnect windows don't work

I have to disconnect the battery of my 2013 ES300h in order to tow it on a dolly behind our motorhome (another story). When I reconnect it the window controls often do not work correctly. I learned the trick of holding the window button up for 5 seconds to reset it. This last time, however, that didn't work.

The front passenger window works with its own button bur not with the button on the driver's side. Also the driver's side window only moves while holding the button. It doesn't complete opening or closing in the usual way.

Is there a different way to reset this or a way to do a complete reset of the system?

There are some videos out there. You have to go to each window and hold the button down until the window is fully open. Hold the button down for 4 seconds. Then hold window button up until the window fully closes. Hold the button for 4 seconds.

My understanding is that you cannot do the passenger windows from the master control, only the drivers window can be programmed from the master switch.

All your window should then auto open/close.

Same thing with memory seats, if you have them, all they way back and hold for 4 and all the way forward and hold for 4.

RKF350, Thanks for the tip. That wasn't the protocol I had used before but will give it a shot next chance I get.

Thanks for the input. You saved me tons of time. Being an ex-mechanic sometimes as important as knowing IT. Tip o' the hat mate
