TPMS service
Hi Guys
I'm putting new tires on my 2013 ES350 UL (60,000 mi) at a goodyear tire dealer. I'm wondering if I should change out the TPMS sensors at the samw time. Lexus says the batteries in the module can last 10 yrs and mine are still working but approaching the 10 yr mark. I would have the goodyear dealer replace them with aftermarket TPMS sensors, around $ 100-110/ wheel installed, This compared with Lexus charging $ 1000/ wheel for Oem sensors!! (no thank you), lol
I could also wait till the sensors fail and then replace them. What do you guys think.
Thanks

I just replaced my 4 sensors - 150k miles, 9 years, installed them with new tires
Installer says sensors working fine but not getting a communication with car TPMS system
Thus, I see dashes for each tire but I do not have a low tire light on the dash.
My user manual says I need to register each valve's unique ID code with the dealer
Guess I will go there next
Paid $90/tire for new sensors
thoughts/experiences appreciated

Parts are rebranded and it’s the same sensor. Look for Dill, Pacific or Denso and if tires are being installed I wouldn’t pay additional for labor

Did you pay $90 for each sensor installed?

Never use after market sensors. Not guarantee to work. If you want to save money, buy the Denso sensor instead for $50 each, which are actually OEM.
program it yourself, it’s straightforward. You only have to install the serial numbers into TPMS ECU and it’s done.

If you're already having new tires put on, then you're better off doing the TPMS sensors while the wheels are bare in-between. Last thing you want is to put new tires on and have sensor batteries start failing a month later.
10 years is a LOT to ask of any battery. The fact you've made it this far with no failures is impressive. Bite the bullet and do it. However...
The price they quoted you is way high. I went a different route. I sourced new wheels and tires from Tirerack, about $1700. Before checkout I was asked if I wanted TPMS sensors installed, also with an optional black valve stem (inside of the wheels are black). All four TPMS units cost me an additional $190 installed (all 4 total) before they shipped everything. After installing the new wheels the local Wal-Mart programmed them to the car for free (took him 2 minutes). They've been working great since last year.
Some tire shops compete with major online retailers. Maybe talk to your shop and see if they'll price-match Tirerack. Haggle with them. Or maybe another option. Even Walmart actually sells TPMS sensors and will program them in way cheaper than what you were quoted.
Or, just live with the dash light. Personally, I wouldn't like rolling around on new tires or wheels without it, especially if you have a kid or significant other that drives it on occasion that might not be savvy with car knowledge. Also if you ever want to sell it, you dont want a private buyer giving you crap about it.

The second link is not direct from Denso. Gotta be careful with all the fakes out there

So I found Denso sensors for my 2013 Es350 for $32 on Amazon. They are the same part # as the ones on the Denso site. One of the reviews was from a guy who installed them on his 2014 ES350 and said they work great! I also found a site that has them shipped direct from Denso, for $44, might be more reputable then Amazon ? I just need to see if the Goodyear shop will install and program them during my new tires install. Thanks to all you guys for your replies, it was extremly helpful.

There's no difference in sensors between a 300 and a 350... Anyways, the p/n 703 provided does not fit the 2013 (OP's vehicle). This is the correct p/n: 42607-30060
